Dogpile UK the global search engine, has joined forces with Battersea Dogs Home and will donate money to the Home each time users download their toolbar and make searches.

Dogpile UK accumulates results from ten search engines and has recently improved its downloadable toolbar. By downloading the toolbar and using it to search the web, you can now help raise funds for Battersea Dogs Home!

Dogpile UK's toolbar was initially launched in September, but now boasts a pop-up ad blocker and cursor search. These new features put more information at your fingertips and improve web browsing. The new toolbar installs in seconds and is immediately available for download at Dogpile's special new micrositeOnce downloaded, Dogpile UK's toolbar resides within your web browser, and makes conducting web and online directory searches faster and easier. The toolbar offers access to Dogpile metasearch, which draws together the best results from the leading search engines, as well as comprehensive yellow and white pages, from any page on the internet. The toolbar also provides a variety of features that enhance your overall web search experience.

The pop-up ad blocker eliminates annoying pop-up ads while web browsing. The blocker screens pop-ups to eliminate only those that are advertisements and users can configure it to allow pop-ups from certain sites. Users are notified whenever pop-ups are blocked with cursor and sound cues. The cues can be customised by the user and turned on or off.

Cursor search: users can quickly conduct a Dogpile search on a word or phrase within any web page by simply highlighting it and right-clicking their mouse.
