Valerie was brought to Battersea as a stray, she was in poor condition and very frightened of everything, she is settled now growing in confidence and her condition is improving also. Valerie is such a lovely and gentle natured girl she will make a loving and affectionate addition once she has bonded and settled in her new home.

Valerie appears to be under-socialised, she may not have been in a home environment before so she may take time to settle and adjust to a new way of life, understanding and patience is needed. Ideally we are looking for owners who have owned dogs before, knowledge of Lurchers, sighthounds or nervous dogs would be an advantage.

Due to her shy and sensitive nature Valerie cannot live with young children, this would be too much for her and she needs a quiet home to relax in. Teenagers would be considered that can follow advice and help with training, Valerie would not cope in a busy or noisy environment. Valerie appears to know no commands so needs all basic training from scratch, this may include housetraining, recall and car travel.

Valerie is a real sweetie with so much to offer, she just needs time to trust you. If you feel you could offer this lovely girl a new home please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443, apply online or email us on [email protected]
