Billy was brought to Battersea as a stray, luckily he was microchipped so we managed to locate an owner, sadly his previous owner had rehomed him recently and didn't want him back. Billy is finding kennel life really stressful and he is not happy here, often barking or whining the days away!
Ideally Billy is looking for owners who have owned dogs before, knowledge of Staffordshire Bull Terriers would be an advantage. Due to his stress levels Billy appears to have poor concentration levels but we feel away from this environment he will be a different dog, Billy has lots of potential, he just needs time to settle.
Like most bull breeds Billy is affectionate and loves nothing more than having a fuss or cuddle, he is trainable and already knows a few commands. We assume he is housetrained and travels well in a car, once settled he could be left for short periods. Billy is playful and enjoys interactive games and walks.
Due to his unknown past Billy cannot live with young children, teenagers would be considered. So far Billy has been good with other dogs but he rarely interacts after his initial hello so we feel a home without another dog would be better for Billy. Unknown if social with cats, would need to be tested on site.
Billy is such a lovely boy, do you have space in your home and heart for him? If you feel you can offer him a home please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443 or apply online.
