Rupert is a 1-2 year old Terrier who came into Battersea Dogs & Cats Home as a stray in October 2005. A fun, feisty, highly active little character, Rupert is certainly a true terrier! Rupert has spent time with the Behaviour staff at Battersea because he does have a tendency to chase and nip at peoples feet when he gets over stimulated. Potential owners must be keen to work on training with Rupert and also be as active and enthusiastic as he is! With loads of character, Rupert will make a great companion in the right home. What Rupert is looking for in a new home:
- Owners who have had terriers before and who understand and appreciate their particular character.
- Active owners who are keen to work on training with an energetic young dog.
- A home with a garden in a semi-rural environment so that Rupert has access to plenty of exercise areas.
- An adult household with no children (older teenagers may be a possibility) as he does not like lots of hands on attention & also has a tendancy to get carried away with play.
- Rupert could live with a mature, confident dog but the match would need to be a good one. Otherwise Rupert will constantly badger them to play.
