Roxy is an 18 month old Mastiff Cross, who was brought into Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in October 2006 because her previous owner passed away. Roxy is a very sociable, boisterous young girl who does forget sometimes how big she is. She has a lovely temperament and is very sweet natured but will be quite a handful to start with. She was referred to the Behaviour Unit for her reaction to strangers. She does have a slight wary edge when she is faced with someone she does not know and is not comfortable with. Owners will need to listen and follow advice given by the Behaviour Unit with regards to these issues. Roxy is looking for :
- Owners with experience of larger breeds/Mastiffs
- Owner/s who have plenty of time and are keen on continuing with her training and can match her enthusiasm
- A quiet semi- rural location, with plenty of access to exercise areas nearby
- An adult household, with older teenagers who may be considered, depending on experience
- Roxy is very good with other dogs but can get a little jealous so would advise not to live with. Would benefit from having some regular doggy friends to socialise with
