Mimi was brought to Battersea as a stray so her history is unknown. Mimi is believed to be a Japanese Akita cross German Shepherd Dog, she is still a puppy and will grow to be a large adult so needs a big enough home with a garden to accommodate her current and future size. Mimi will need further training, this includes housetraining and we are unsure how she travels in a car.

Mimi is looking for experienced dog owners who have owned similar large breeds, she is not suitable for first time owners as this breed is usually strong and can be more difficult to handle or train. So far Mimi has been a typical puppy who enjoys being around people and loves nothing more than playing or running around. Mimi does require further social work with other dogs and at this stage she cannot live with another dog.

Unfortunately Mimi cannot live with young children, although teenagers would be considered if they were experienced with dogs and could help with the training and daily care of Mimi. Being a puppy Mimi needs lots of socialising to make sure she grows up in to a well mannered adult with other dogs and people, she will need owners around the majority of the time to be able to dedicate time to this.

If you are a patient and dedicated experienced owner then Mimi could be the dog for you, please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor to find out more on 01784 494443 or come in to one of our centres for a registration interview.
