Mowgli is a very special and unique dog. He was handed into the Home for a variety of reasons, one of which was that his failing eye sight is very difficult to manage. He has had one eye removed during his stay with us, and has no vision in his remaining one.
There is a possibility that he may need to have this eye removed in the future. A financially secure home will be needed. Mowgli is a very sweet and affectionate dog.
He loves human interaction and as you can imagine is very voice responsive. He has many of the expected traits of a young and active dog. He is playful and bouncy, enjoying a game. However games need to be played in a safe and secure area to avoid any unforseen accidents. Mowgli is going to need an exceptional home with extremely dedicated people. He will need a large garden, very secure and safe from obstacles.
We ideally would like him to live with another dog(s) which will provide him both company and security. Due to his heightened hearing ability we would prefer him to live in a quieter setting.
Mowgli needs owners than can cope with the demands of having a blind dog, and be prepared for a long settling in time. He has been through an awful lot and deserves dedicated people who can get past the blindness and treat him as a dog, but also make allowances for this disability. Are you that home?
If you think you can offer that special home Mowgli is looking for please contact our rehoming department on 0207 627 9234 or come into the home to register.
