Millie is a female 7 to 10 year old Tibetan terrier cross that was brought into Battersea by her previous owners in August 2007. Although she may appear cute and cuddly, Millie is a little madam who sees everyone else as being completely beneath her and so likes things done on her terms. She does have a certain amount of 'little dog' attitude', which new owners will need to get along with. Once she has formed a bond with you she does become interactive and friendly but will always retain her independent edge. Owners will need to be realistic as to their expectations because if they are looking for a "pamper pet" then Millie will not do! She has spent some time with the Behaviour Unit in order for us to investigate her general character, especially her issues with formal handling and her reactions when meeting new people.

Millie will need:

Millie does have a certain level of self sustainability and so would not suit someone who just wants a cuddly lap dog that they can carry around, that is just not her! Millie is at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home London. Please call the Behaviour Unit on 020 7627 7884 if you are interested in Millie or email us on [email protected] and quote ref 2007/04170. Millie will need some further training in her new home. To receive advice and guidance regarding this training from the Behaviour Unit staff that have worked with her, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Dogs Home for a minimum of two visits.
