Kudo is a 1 to 2 year old, male mongrel, who arrived at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home as a stray in May 2006. Confident and self-assured, Kudo can be quite demanding for the things he wants and can become frustrated when he doesn't get his own way. He spent time with the Behaviour Unit to work on his possessive behaviours around food and would benefit from owners that are willing to follow an ongoing behaviour programme. Bouncy, reckless and a typical youngster, with a little guidance and structure, Kudo has the makings of a great dog. Kudo is looking for:

• Experienced owners who have owned highly active breeds before and experience of having dealt with a dog that has had food issues would be ideal


• A multi-carer (maximum 4 people) adult only household due to his history and need for consistency. This also includes no young visiting children although sensible older teens would be considered if they are able to cope with a boisterous, over the top dog


• A house with space for chilling out time, in a quiet semi rural or rural environment as he has the potential to become chasey with people and traffic. Living in a quieter area would also be beneficial in maintaining his focus on his handler


• A home with no other dogs although he would benefit from being socialised with a group of suitable doggy friends


• A home where he will not be left alone for long periods initially

Kudo will need some further training in his new home. To receive advice and guidance regarding this training from the Behaviour Unit staff that have worked with him, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Dogs Home for a minimum of two visits.
