Junior is a 1 to 2 year old male Mongrel who was brought to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in October 2006 by his owners. Playful, energetic and quick to learn, Junior is an over the top youngster who tends to get carried away with himself. Referred to the Behaviour Unit to investigate his general character and behaviours towards other dogs, Junior has responded well to training and would really benefit from owners who will channel all that energy.
Junior is looking for:
- Owners with previous experience of working and training young active dogs
- A house with a secure garden in a quiet, semi-rural or rural location to maintain his focus since he can become easily distracted
- A small adult multi-carer household (maximum 4 adults), with no children or visiting children due to his over the top behaviours and his tendencies to jump up quite high
- Minimal leaving hours when he is left alone due to his anxiety levels when left

To receive advice and guidance regarding this training from the Behaviour Unit staff that have worked with him, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Dogs Home for a minimum of two visits.
