Hugo initially came in to Battersea back in January 08 as a stray, he was then rehomed but sadly returned after a short period as his new owners found him to be too boisterous around the young children visiting the house.
Hugo is a boisterous and energetic youngster in need of guidence and further training but he has plenty of potential in confident hands. Ideally Hugo needs experienced owners with knowledge of Staffies or similar bull breeds to understand what they are taking home.
In his previous home Hugo already knew a few commands, traveled well in a car and was mainly housetrained. Hugo has been crate trained and could possibly be left for short periods if using a crate, he will happily settle after a good walk and if he has things to do.
Hugo is only a youngster so will need plenty of exercise, he is active and loves to play and run in the park. Hugo could possibly live with a mature adult female who will be a good role model but not another bull breed as play is liable to get out of hand.
Due to his boisterous nature at this stage Hugo will need a firm and fair approach to his training, he cannot live with young children, confident teenagers would be considered that would not be intimidated by his hyper moments and can help with training.
Hugo is a lovely puppy with plenty of potential, if you feel he could be the dog for you please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443, apply online or email us on [email protected]
