Zeus is a 3-5 year old male neutered Staffordshire Bull Terrier who arrived at Battersea Cats & Dogs Home as a stray in April 2007. He was referred to the Behaviour Unit for his dog to dog interactions. Zeus is a happy, laid back and generally confident boy, although he also has a sensitive side in some situations.

Zues is looking for:

• Experienced owners who are confident and had experience of owning strong willed dogs before
  
• He is looking for a house/flat in a semi rural location 
  
• A private garden that is securely fenced is a must due to his history of escaping
  
• Zeus is not suitable to live with children, preferring instead a calm and settled home environment. However older teenagers would be considered depending on experience.
  
• A multi carer home is preferable as Zeus has the potential to overbond.
  
• Zeus needs to be the only dog in the household as he does not enjoy sharing his people with other dogs.
  
• Owners  that have plenty of time on their hands in order to provide him with focus and recall training. Zeus is a very people-motivated dog who will expect to be a very active member of the household.

Zeus will need owners who will be able to provide him with the time and training he requires. They in turn will then be rewarded with a fun, light-hearted and interactive dog who will be very much a part of the family.

Zeus will need some further training in his new home. To receive advice and guidance regarding this training from the Behaviour Unit staff that have worked with him, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Dogs Home for a minimum of two visits.
