Goldie is a 6-12 month old female German Shepherd dog cross who came to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in June 2006.

Bright, lively and always on the go, Goldie rarely takes the time to stop and think before she blazes in like a bull in a china shop!  Confident and boisterous, she can be demanding and attention seeking, sometimes pushing her luck with other dogs. The Behaviour Unit at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home have been working with Goldie and owners will need to follow an ongoing training programme advised by the team.  Goldie is smart with good motivations for training and will suit owners who are prepared to spend time keeping her physically and mentally stimulated.  In return, Goldie will be a loyal, affectionate companion and provide hours of fun, if her owners can keep up the pace!

Goldie is looking for:

• Owners who have had experience with large, boisterous breeds


• Not a home in the inner city as it would be too over stimulating for her


• A calm yet active household, enthusiastic about training


• Goldie could live with experienced teenagers, who are keen to be involved in her training


• Goldie could live with a mature male dog who will enjoy playing with her but also keep her in line
