Derek

Derek was found wandering the streets so sadly we have no information on this little pup. Derek is deaf so will need dedication and patience from new owners, training and life with a deaf rescue dog will be a rewarding challenge.

Derek is looking for experienced owners especially used to bull breeds, deaf dogs or rescue dogs, unfortunately he would not make an ideal dog for the first time dog owner due to the amount of work needed. Derek also needs an all adult household where he will recieve consistency.

Like most Staffies Derek is full of energy and loves people, he will make a comical and active addition. Charming character needing understanding, he has so much potential and learns very quickly. Could possibly live with another dog but only a mature adult female that will be a positive role-model.

Derek is intelligent and has already learnt some hand signals, he has also spent some time in a home environment with a member of staff. Once settled Derek was housetrained, could be left for short periods and traveled well in a car.

Whilst Derek has been in kennels he has been crate trained and could be left for short periods. He will happily sleep or amuse himself with a tasty chewy bone, we advise owners continue with the use of a crate.
