Denny

This Older gentle man is Denny. He was gifted into Battersea at the beginning of October as his previous owners were having problems when leaving him alone. They had only had him for two weeks and had rehomed him from a friend of theirs who had had him since he was a pup.

Denny is an amazingly affectionate dog that loves to play. He can be quite reactive on lead towards other dogs, as he gets extremely frustrated because he can't get to them. Denny is very good with them off lead and has lived with other dogs in his previous home.

The type of home we would like to see Denny go to, would be someone that has had German shepherd dogs before. Initially doesn't have to leave him alone as will need time to settle and readjust to his new home. Live out in the countryside where there would be fewer distractions for him, and once taught to come back off lead would rarely have to be on one. A large garden where you could practice his recall training, and the time, patience and understanding that's needed to take on a rescue dog.

Denny does have quite a high rehoming criteria, but once he settles in he will make a fantastic companion for someone who wants an older less active dog.
