Rosie is a fiesty, confident and highly active girl, everything a Patterdale Terrier should be, she arrived at Battersea as a stray. Rosie is a true Terrier with a real zest for life and will be a super fun addition in the right environment. An experienced Terrier home is a must to understand her needs and traits, she is not a lapdog type to spoil or baby. Rosie will not be content with a few walks around the block or to the local park, she requires lots of daily mental and physical stimulation to keep her happy. Rosie is highly intelligent and very trainable, she will require all basic training from scratch. Unknown if housetrained or how she travels in a car. Rosie can initially be aloof and stubborn at times so needs owners to be in control from day one or she will manipulate and take over the household. Ok to live with teenagers and should be fine for visiting children. Due to unknown past Rosie cannot be left alone initially but once settled she could be left for short periods. Rosie is a fun character and for the Terrier enthusiast she will be a joy to own but owners must be prepared for all that comes with a Terrier, Rosie may be a bit of a hunter and therefore she cannot live with cats or other small pets. Being fiesty and a bit cocky at times Rosie is best to be the only dog in the house, she is not keen on sharing her belongings. Rosie has lots of potential and with a little time and effort she will blossom. If you feel you can offer this little cracker the home she needs please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443.
