Boisterous Bonzo

Bonzo was originally brought to Battersea as a stray, he was rehomed but sadly returned after a few days as his new owners found him too much to cope with, he is a comical character with lots of potential in experienced hands but does have high energy levels and no manners so new owners must be active and strong to cope.

Bonzo needs owners who have owned Labradors or similar high energy and boisterous types before to understand his needs, a sense of humour is a must. Bonzo is intelligent and already knows some commands, he would benefit from further training and control as can get over-excited and jump up.

In his previous home Bonzo was housetrained from day one and traveled well in a car. Unfortunately Bonzo cannot live with cats or other small pets, the Lurcher side takes over at times and he loves to chase. Bonzo could possibly live with a large and strong female dog who will keep him in line.

Due to his boisterous nature Bonzo cannot live with young children, older teenagers would be considered that won't be intimidated by his hooligan moments! Once settled and if provided with things to do Bonzo should be ok to be left for short periods. If left for too long or not given enough stimulation he could become bored and find his own amusements!
