Bimbo

Bimbo was brought to Battersea with his smaller friend Peppina (also featured on the website) as their owner no longer had the time to care for them. Originally these dogs are from Italy and understand some commands in italian so Bimbo's new owners may need to brush up on their language skills!! The english translation of Bimbo is 'Boy'.

Bimbo is generally a laid back boy who walks well on the lead- until he sees a cat or squirrel!
Once settled, Bimbo is happy to amuse himself but initially is anxious and can be demanding for attention.

Bimbo's new owners should have experience with large dogs due to his size and strength. He also responds better to confident, firm owners.

Bimbo is generally good with other dogs and could live with an older, well behaved female. He can be intolerant of boisterous dogs and he doesn't like cats.

We would prefer for Bimbo to live in a semi rural environment and for him to have a decent sized garden with secure fencing.
Bimbo can live with teenagers who are used to large breeds. He should not be left for long initially.
