Bertie is a 20 month old neutered male Australian Kelpie cross Collie who came to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home after having been sold in a house clearance. Bertie is a lovable lad who has an extremely goofy and affectionate side to him, he can however be quite stubborn when the mood takes him. Bertie is a very trainable and responsive dog who likes nothing more than to spend his time having fun with his handler. 

 Bertie will need:

• Owners with experience of confident male or female characters and preferably of  Kelpie, Collie or German Shepherd types


• Adult household only due to the need for consistency


• Bertie could live with another dog if they are the right match


• He could live with confident outdoor type cats


• Bertie will need to live in a quiet semi rural or rural environment

Bertie is one of those memorable dogs that will provide his owners not only with loyal companionship but also a lot of laughs. For patient owners with a big sense of humour, Bertie will be a wonderful addition to the household.
