April is a 1 to 2 year old, female Jack Russell Terrier cross who came to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in March 2007. A crafty individual with a sharp mind, she thrives on mental and physical stimulation. April has shown many of the typical zestful Terrier characteristics that experienced Terrier homes will be able to identify with. Although aloof at first, she is very affectionate once a bond has been formed and has many good motivations for training.

April is looking for:

• Experienced owners who have owned feisty female Terriers before and have a good understanding of how to maintain them within a household
  
• Open-minded owners that are willing to follow an ongoing training programme
  
• An all adult household only due to her behavioural issues and need for consistency with no visiting kids or grandkids 
  
• A home in a semi rural or rural location with low dog population as April can be easily distracted. April will also need an enclosed fenced garden  for training and exercise
  
• April is not yet cat tested.


• April cannot be rehomed with another dog

  April is at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London. To receive advice and guidance regarding this training from the Behaviour Unit staff that have worked with her, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Dogs Home for a minimum of two visits.
