Allie came into Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in June 2006. She is a female Japanese Akita who is between 5-7 years old.

Allie is an independent girl but can be sociable when she knows you. She is very strong physically, so needs robust owners who are capable of handling her.

Allie is very strong around other dogs and will not tolerate any nonsense. So owners must be confident enough to socialize her. Allie is looking for:

• owners who have experience with large breeds, Akitas, Rottweillers or Mastiff types. Those who have dealt with dog issues before would be ideal
  
• an active home where owners have the time to invest in training her
  
• a large house with a garden in a semi-rural or rural environment
  
• an adult household without any children although teens maybe considered
  
• Allie is unable to live with cats
  
• Allie needs owners who are around all day to begin with and can gradually increase the time she is left

Allie will need some further training in her new home. To receive advice and guidance regarding her training from the Behaviour Unit staff that have worked with her, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Home for a minimum of two visits.
