Sammy

Sammy, having led a sheltered life as an indoor cat, was extremely fearful on arrival at Battersea and was very hard to approach. However, underneath all that grumbling and growling is a good-natured young cat who has shown a great improvement since he was moved to one of our special chill-out rooms. He still likes to hide under his blanket, but he is becoming increasingly brave and is a pushover for a sprinkle of catnip on his magic carpet.

Sammy needs to live with experienced, adult people who have a calm lifestyle with not too many visitors. We would expect him to be quite scared for the first few days in his new home, so a quiet, secure room must be set aside for him until he has got used to his new place. Once settled, he should be gradually introduced to the garden as he is an energetic young cat who would greatly benefit from being able to go outdoors.
