Lexus is a 2-3 year old stray who was so stressed here in kennels that she constantly chased her tail and barked.

She is now in a foster home where she has amazed us all! Now that she is more relaxed, Lexus has turned out to be a very bright dog with fantastic self-control and a hunger to please.

She has learnt a number of new commands and a lot of basic control -- and we've got the video to prove it! Her foster mum says that after just a few weeks Lexus:

• is fully housetrained
  
• can be left alone for up to 3 hours with no problem -- providing she can listen to the radio!
  
• walks very well on lead and has good recall
  
• no longer pesters for attention but still loves a good cuddle. Lexus is very friendly but she can get over -excited by new people and at times a bit panicked by new situations.
  

What Lexus needs is

• a set routine
  
• a calm household
  
• plenty of exercise
  
• continued training
  

Lexus also needs a house with a high-fenced garden in a quiet suburb or in the country, as she cannot cope with city life.

Although she is okay with other dogs she would not get anything out of living with one but could live with older children if they were calm and patient with her.

Most importantly Lexus needs people who will enjoy carrying on with her training and getting the best out of her.
